- OSPF Distribute-list : All the routers in an OSPF area should have exactly same OSPF database,meaning that OSPF filtering in terms of database can only be achieved between areas or across external routing domains but not within a single area. Intra-area filtering can be accomplished in OSPF by using an inbound distribute-list;however this filtering only make changes on the local routing table,and the OSPF database remains the same before and after the inbound filtering. It's an recommendation that this kind of filtering has to be designed carefully otherwise routing blackholes or routing loops may occur.
